Understanding the process can help you prepare and know what to expect.
Step 1: Requesting a Quote
You do not need to mail your original documents. A professional agency will work from high-quality digital copies. You can typically upload scans or clear photographs of your documents through a secure form on their website. Be sure to mention what the translation is for (e.g., Home Office, university) so they can ensure it meets the specific requirements.
Step 2: The Translation Work
Once you approve the quote, the agency will assign your project to a suitable translator. They will then follow the TEP quality process described above to produce an accurate and polished translation.
Step 3: Certification and Delivery
After the final proofread, the agency will produce the “Certificate of Accuracy.” This certificate, along with the translated document, will be combined into a single, secure PDF file. This digital copy is accepted by the UK Home Office and most other UK bodies. If you require a physical hard copy, most agencies can provide this for an additional fee
